cloud forests of colombia

Project partner: Saving Nature
project type: carbon offsets, biodiversity credits

On a reserve nest led in the Andes mountains, we are working to reforest over 500 hectares of dense Colombian jungle. Colombia is the second-most biodiverse country in the world, home to over 60,000 species and making up 10% of the earth's total flora and fauna. This project will restore degraded land, creating a thriving ecosystem that will serve as a key wildlife corridor in the region. By liberating species marooned in land fragments too small for their long- term survival, we unlock the potential for genetic rescue, expand access to resources, and reduce human-wildlife conflict.
